Writing a good request
A precise request gets faster answers and comparable quotes.
- Name the equipment, or describe its use. Brand and model if you know them; otherwise the use and the key specifications (number of probes, flow, capacity, parameters measured).
- One line per item. For a room or a department, list each device with its quantity: each supplier answers on what it sells.
- Say new, used or refurbished. Price and warranty change completely; "either" opens more offers.
- Say what must be included: delivery, installation, staff training, maintenance, warranty. The quotes will be comparable.
- Give a realistic timeframe and a budget range. The budget is optional, but it points to the right range.
- Attach your documents: specifications, a data sheet, a photo of the rating plate of a device to replace (5 files at most).
Example
"2 multi-parameter patient monitors (ECG, SpO2, NIBP, temperature), 12-inch screen, new, for an intensive care unit in Oran. Installation and training wanted, delivery within 6 weeks."
