Secure your account
Everything is in Profile & security (your account menu, or medica-algerie.com/en/app/parametres/securite).
Profile
Change your name and your language: it is used for the interface and the e-mails you receive.
Change your password
- In the Password section, enter your Current password and the new one.
- Tick Sign out of all other devices if you think someone else may have used it.
- Click Change password.
Forgot the current password? Use Forgot password.
Two-factor authentication
With two-factor authentication, signing in asks, besides the password, for a 6-digit code shown by an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, 2FAS, 1Password…).
Turn it on
- In Two-factor authentication, click Enable two-factor.
- Confirm your password.
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app.
- Enter the code the app shows in Code from the app, then click Activate.
- Write down your backup codes and keep them safe: each works once if you lose your phone.
Turn it off: click Disable two-factor and confirm your password.
Passkeys
A passkey signs you in with your fingerprint, face or device PIN instead of your password. It never leaves your device.
- In Passkeys, give the key a name (for instance "MacBook" or "Phone").
- Click Add a passkey and follow your browser's prompt.
If the site asks you to sign in again first, it is a security measure: sign in again and retry. To remove a key, delete it from the list; you will no longer be able to sign in with it.
Active sessions
The Active sessions list shows the devices signed in to your account, with their last activity.
- Sign out closes one session;
- Sign out everywhere else closes every session except the device you are using.
Do it if you do not recognise a device, then change your password.
Good practice
- A password used only for Medica Algérie.
- Two-factor authentication or a passkey for accounts that manage a company.
- Medica Algérie's team will **never** ask for your password or a code received by e-mail.
